SELECTION

All entries and final works entered for the City of Hobart Art Prize exhibition will be judged in regard to overall excellence, originality and innovation in design or concept, use of materials and technique.

Entries are sought nationally and the judging panel draws up a shortlist from the images and documentation supplied. The judging panel considers all entries and selects those to be invited to present the selected work for the final exhibition from which the winner will be selected.

All entrants will be notified of the second round judging results by 4 June 2013 and the artists selected for the finalist’s exhibition listed on the Art Prize webpage. Information about selection is not available before this date.

The winner of the 2013 City of Hobart Art Prize will be announced at the exhibition launch on Friday 19 July 2013 at the Tasmanian Museum & Art Gallery.

The winner of the People’s Choice prize will be notified directly and announced in the Public Notices section of the Hobart Mercury after the exhibition closes.
